摘要
This paper presents an overview of several different physical and bio/chemical sensors utilising optical fiber micro resonator structures developed in the Photonics Research Centre at Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland, gives their performance analysis and examples of their practical applications. In conclusion future prospects and challenges for the devices and systems based on the WGMs principle will be discussed.
