The "Information Island" Problem and Corresponding Resolution in Public Service in the Era of Big Data

The Big Data not only bring us a completely new lifestyle and mode of thinking, but also has a great influence on supply mode of public service. However, the existing "information island" problem is a huge obstacle which affects the provision and efficiency of public services to a large extent. This article is based on the analysis of the "information island" phenomena and the cause of the problem, and taking the great development of Big Data as the foundation of the idea to put forward the corresponding countermeasure and suggestion from the following seven perspectives: consolidating the government data resources; carrying out the data reuse; enhancing the data reorganization and application; promoting the expansion application of data; attaching great importance to the depreciation data reuse; expanding the value of application of Data exhaust; strengthening the management of big data.
