摘要
The article deals with the possibilities of using the social network Facebook and LMS Moodie as supporting tools in higher education. We focus on the experiences and opinions of students against this kind of educational support and we also describe our own experiences. The use of Facebook in education led us mainly forward in the improvement of communication between teacher and student. The main aim of the paper is to describe the possibilities of using Facebook and LMS Moodie as a support of educational tools in university studies. The partial aims of the work investigate: the opinion of students on the use of the Facebook social network in education, the students' opinions about the created course in LMS Moodie in the subject Multimedia in education with the aim to master the required curriculum, comparison of Facebook and LMS Moodie as educational tools with the focus on the student and the teacher. To achieve the objectives, we used the following methods: 1. Literary method, to determine the current state of the issue and the necessary software, hardware and personal requirements for work and operation of LMS Moodie and social network Facebook. 2. Attitude questionnaire to find out the approach of students to social network and LMS Moodie as supporting educational means. 3. Observation and interview to verify the questionnaire and objectives.
