摘要
Visible-light scattering on glass spheres in resin is considered as qualitatively representative of the actual situations of visible effects due to coatings or plastic sheets with non-absorbing pigments like mica pigments. Diffuse reflection and transmission are simulated by the Monte Carlo technique. The model consists of glass spheres in acrylic resin with section between 7.5 and 30 mu m such that geometrical optics can be applied. Phenomena like shot and iridescent effects are described.
