摘要
The emergence of new variety of biomaterials and new technologies for composites manufacturing have revolutionized the modern composite scenario, with a promise towards sustainable development through induction of green composites. The concept of green composites is well known and major progresses have been made in the recent years. The reinforcement material and the matrix/resin are key constituents that define the properties of composites. Accordingly the reinforcements of green composites are usually natural polymer or biomass derived products and the matrices/resins are made of waste polymers. The green composite materials being environmentally benign have seen increased production and have found wide applications in various sectors in recent years. Also several materialistic and technological considerations are to be made in order to improve the cost effective manufacturing of modern green composites. Altogether, green composite is making huge strides to become a promising material for majority of purposes in the near future to come. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
