摘要
It is still very challenging job for researchers to provide a low cost broadband radar absorbing material. Therefore, in this paper, a novel cost effective sugarcane-beach sand based natural waste material has been explored to acts as an excellent radar wave absorber with reflection loss (RL) < -20 dB. The surface morphology of material has been studied using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and elements presents in composite material are confirmed through Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS). The reflection loss with varying absorber thickness has been calculated by measuring complex permittivity and permeability values in the range of 8.2-12.4 GHz. The peak value of reflection loss has been found to be -34.82 dB satisfying the RL < -20 dB condition at 10.4 matching frequency for 3.3 mm matching thickness, which clearly shows the effectiveness of the absorber as an excellent radar wave absorber for hiding aircrafts, missiles, warships, and missiles from enemy eyes.
