摘要
Atopic/allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma and atopic dermatitis are characterized by an uncontrolled immune response against harmless allergens and are mainly mediated by Th2 cells. Recent findings suggest that development of allergies is due to an unbalance between Th2 cells and regulatory T cells (Treg) being responsible for their prevention. In this report, the importance of Treg for allergen specific immunotherapy is also discussed.
