Critical environmental education front of materialized capital and close to us: investigation about the installation of a refrigerant industry and its social and environmental impacts and conflicts in Baixada Fluminense - Rio de Janeiro

This study aims to investigate the installation of a soft drink factory in the municipality of Duque de Caxias in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the industry in question uses the use of water from groundwater for beverage production, using a public good and turning it into private profit. The information obtained in the research was treated as a motto to propose a Critical Environmental Education activity for high school students. To this end, insertions were made to the research site, the methodology of this article was based on a participatory research where students were invited to assess the problems generated by the industry, with the intention of making them see that Environmental Education is linked to collective and not just individual aspects.
