摘要
Characterization of acoustic modes is important in the study of Brillouin gain spectrum. In this paper, acoustic modes of a suspended core fiber are numerically calculated by finite element method. Due to high contrast between mechanical coefficient of silica and air, full vectorial finite element method is used. Since the core of SCF is surrounded by large air holes, the solutions are compared with those for a bare cylindrical silica rod in air.
