摘要
Three-dimensional turbulent particulate laden flows past a square in a typical 3D channel have been studied numerically using state-of-the-art CAD and CFD software packages. The geometry of a computational domain of 50x30x10 is used, out of which a 10x10x10 solid square is considered for analysis. The grid points around this square are generated through multi-blocks with node compressibility towards a wall, using ICEM CFD software and analysed turbulent fluid with multiphase flow interactions, through finite volume based Navier-Stokes solver TASCflow. The simulation process, which took about four hours on a Compaq NT with 256 MB RAM provides good insights for visualisation of recirculation and separation flow pattern, in terms of velocity and pressures and particle effects past a non-streamlined bluff body placed in a typical 3D channel.
