A DSS Assistant Model for College Counselors Based on Data Mining

This paper analyzes the working status of counselors team building and introduces the development and implementation of decision support system. For related demand, we propose an open source program based on data warehouse, using the measures of OLAP and data mining. A DSS auxiliary model for college counselors is put forward and the components of the key frameworks are also described in detail. Then the technologies of DW and DM are studier intensively. Finally MVC model and J2EE platform are developed to display the results with modes of report forms. By tests, the statistical analysis functions run well and the data extractions are accurate, so the system performance achieves the design standard and it achieves the object to provide information reference and decision basis for the leadership of colleges.
