TRW combustor is a kind of new, clean combustion technology. It has many advantages, especially in low NOX emission. As a new and promising technology, it is still necessary to consider its characteristics before its practical utilization. In contrast to common furnace, the size of TRW combustor is larger and that results in a stronger jet from the bottom of the furnace,;which is quite different from the jet of common furnace. This strong jet leads to violent gas corrosion to the furnace wall. Furthermore, the lower output of this technology also restricts its direct utilization in many occasions requiring larger output. In order to use this technology in those occasions, supplementary coals have to be burned in the furnace. Allowing for these problems, it is important to study the flow field in furnace before TRW combustion technology is put into practice so that a good organization of flow field can be reached. In this paper, based on numerical calculation, analyses of different plans to organize the flow fields are presented and a better scheme of the tertiary air and OFA jets arrangement is suggested.
