摘要
Suitable amounts of Al and Zn alloying elements added to the Mg-Li alloy with beta phase as matrix could greatly improve the mechanical properties of the alloys. In the present work the alloying design was aided by a thermodynamic software, 'THERMO-CALC', which is confirmed to be very helpful in optimizing alloy compositions and heat treatment parameters. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the designed alloy were examined.
