摘要
The idea of designing and realizing humanoid walking machines is very old. In the last twenty years it has been pushed mainly by scientists in Japan and the US. Especially Japan with its new machines by Honda or the Tokyo University have achieved high standards, establishing unique benchmarks for the community. In Europe similar activities have started in Germany, France and Sweden. This paper presents a German machine, JOHNNIE, that is being developed at the Technical University of Munich.
