摘要
Wind power has become an important substitution of fossil-based conventional energy for the future electric power generation. However, stochastic nature of wind introduces great uncertainty for both system planning and operation. Therefore, a proper reliability assessment technique is required which will take care of the uncertainty resides on the wind power generation. In this paper, a reliable model of a wind farm is presented by using an analytical method based on loss of load probability approach. The proposed model is then integrated to the well-known Roy Billinton Test System (RBTS) and different reliability indices in terms of loss of load probability (LOLP), expected energy not supplied (EENS) of the wind integrated power system has been calculated. The analysis has a great significance before injecting a large-amount of wind power to the grid.
