摘要：
The aim of the present study is to discuss the manner in which the names of churches in the Codru area behave in public space. The analysis and information from written and oral sources provided by the inhabitants strengthens the belief that the land of Codru ensures the transition between Transylvania (with its well-known features) and the northern lands: Lapus, Chioar, Oas. and Maramures. Therefore, we can draw the conclusion that, as regards names of churches, there are issues within an extended area, which includes Transylvania, the Banat and Maramures.
