摘要
In this paper, basic ideas for modeling user-perceived quality of services in hybrid networks will be presented. Such services are not restricted to an end-to-end data transmission, but may include, for example, local or cooperative caching mechanisms. Hence, a more general understanding of (data) services and an appropriate definition of parameters of user-perceived quality of these services will be discussed. Modeling in this context does not only include pure network characteristics like data rate and error probability, but also may cover parameters like application structure and characteristics, characteristics of the actual terminal equipment, user profiles, and information about current location or motion of the user. The objective of this modeling approach is to quantify these complex dependencies to support planning and operating services in future hybrid networks with an appropriate user-perceived quality.
