摘要
The paper describes two failure investigations of industrial equipment where fatigue was the primary cause of failure. The cases are failure of a large gearbox from a steel mill hot rolling line, and of the cooling fan blades of a generator in a hydroelectric station. Ln both cases lessons can be learned regarding improvements or changes in detail design that would eliminate such problems in future.
