摘要
Societal racial bias may differently impact White and Black parents' emotion socialization. We examined mothers' beliefs about and coaching of emotions with their 9-year-old children. Across racial groups, mothers' belief that positive emotions have costs was related to less emotion coaching. For Black families only, mothers' belief that anger can be valuable was related to more emotion coaching.
