摘要
Ultrasounds excite uranium: Uranyl ions exhibit an ultrabright multibubble sonoluminescence in cooled H 3PO 4 solutions exposed to high-frequency ultrasound. The mechanism of UO 2 2+ excitation seems to vary with uranium concentration: sonophotoluminescence dominates in diluted solutions, and collisional excitation would contribute in concentrated UO 2 2+ solutions (see figure).
