摘要
The frequency influence on the isothermal fatigue behaviour of austenitic stainless steel AISI 304 was investigated. Pull-push fatigue experiments were performed under anisothermal and isothermal (at 25 degrees C) conditions. Frequencies between 0.05 Hz and 10 Hz were systematically investigated. It was found that high frequencies in combination with high stress levels result in a temperature increase of the fatigued specimen (anisothermal condition). Therefore nitrogen gas evaporating from liquid nitrogen was used as coolant to realise an isothermal fatigue experiment at 25 degrees C. Also the influence of the deep rolling on the fatigue behaviour of AISI 304 at different frequencies was investigated. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
