Transmission Standby based on Channel Conditions for Efficient Use of Radio Resources in WLAN Systems

摘要
This paper proposes a WLAN system which has the transmission standby, that reduces radio interferences and effectively utilizes radio resources. In a WLAN system which has the transmission standby, devices whose SINRs are lower than the threshold wait for transmissions, and other devices can transmit frames without radio interferences from the devices which are waiting for transmissions. When radio interference is reduced, the SINR becomes higher and the transmission rate becomes higher. In this paper, we evaluate the transmission performance of the WLAN system based on DCF manner with the transmission standby. This paper asserts that reducing the radio interference by the function of the transmission standby brings an improvement of the transmission rate and a reduction of failed frames.
