Preoperative 3-dimensional modeling methods are commonly used in orthopedic surgery but there have been limited reports of their use for planning upper extremity surgery In this report, we describe a case of a malunited olecranon fracture and its management using custom preoperative computed tomographic templating and mechanical modeling One year after surgery, the patient demonstrated nearly full painless restoration of function and motion (J Hand Surg 2010,35A 1990-1994 (C) 2010 Published by Elsevier Inc on behalf of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand)
