Crime and Pentecostalism in Rio de Janeiro: Some Considerations on Conversion Experiences in Pentecostal Recovery Centers

This article was produced from the analysis of empirical material from two different researches, carried out in two Pentecostals recovery centers (CR) in Rio de Janeiro. Based on this empirical material, we seek to understand the processes of subjectification that develop in CRs from the analysis of how the actors build their conversion experiences. In this context, conversion becomes a central native category, as it is seen as something capable of producing moral appreciation of widely and intensely discredited people.
