摘要
Eu3+ + Sm3+ and Eu3+ + Nd3+ co-doped lead fluoroborate glasses were synthesized through melt-quench technique. The densities, T-g and hardness factors proved that these glasses are structurally compact and are stable upto similar to 200 degrees C. PTBES and PTBEN glasses showed reddish and greenish emission respectively, both before and after gamma rays and electron beam irradiation with 150 kGy dose. These glasses could be proposed as a potential solid state color luminescent material and as radiation sensors/shielders.
