摘要
A finite difference model is presented that has been developed for numerical prediction of hygro-thermal behavior in reinforced concrete columns exposed to fire. Multi-dimensional simulations are performed under two different fire conditions, ASTM E119 and ASTM E1529. Steel reinforcement in concrete structures is found to have a significant effect on the developments of pore pressure and temperature gradients, which are known to contribute to explosive spalling in heated concrete.
