The impact of TQM implementation in technological changes

To attain sustainability offering a high quality product, manufacturing firms have made a high effort to implement the latest technologies, innovation and change management. The paper presents the level of implementation of the most important principles of TQM among textile manufacturing companies, and how those principles may facilitate technological change. In order to achieve the objective of this paper we applied a quality-related questionnaire on a sample with around 50 textile firms from Romania. Starting with particularities of this sample from textile industry, we present some general conclusions about the most important quality principles that facilitate technological changes in different phases in Romanian textile companies. The results of this study show that implementing TQM principles have a great impact in technological change efficiency.
