摘要
This article describes a computational procedure for calculating wear of worm gears on the basis of physical fundamentals. For this purpose, the elasto-hydrodynamic theory of lubrication (EHD-Theory), the molecular-mechanical theory of wear and energetic theory of friction is applied to the specific geometrical and kinematic peculiarities of worm gears. The results are compared with test bed experiments as well as with a calculation method based on empirical data according to NEUPERT.
