Effect of row spacing on yield and seed quality of rice bean (Vigna umbellata) varieties

摘要
The results of 2-year study revealed that closer spacing resulted in the highest seed and stover yields of 10.2 q and 35.46 q/ha rice bean [Vigna umbellata (Thunb.) Ohwi & Ohasi] respectively. Better-quality seeds were produced in wider spaced plants, though the total uptake of nutrient was higher in closer spacings. Among 5 varieties, the highest nutrient uptake was shown by 'RB 56', and it generated maximum seed and stover yields and superior quality seeds.
