摘要：
There are cases when insufficient lightning protection measures are used and air termination, down conductor, earthning systems and internal protection means cannot protect defended volume. Users do not assess the risk of damage due to a lightning strike and forgot that it has probability character and 100% protection cannot be in total. The paper tries to analyze reliability of lightning protection. The separate question deals damage of ball lightning.
