A running simulation program for a superconducting(SC) magnetically levitated train (JR Maglev system) has been developed. The train motion for the case of the SC coil quenching was calculated. The levitation and guidance force of the SC coil next to the quenched one became about twice and seven times as large as those in the normal state respectively. Maximum lateral displacement of the quenched bogie edge was about 60% of the lateral air gap. The influence of the SC coil quenching on the other bogies was shown to be very small.
