摘要
The present paper introduces a promising new approach to chemical process design based on the development and use of a new generation of advanced production equipment: structured multiscale chemical devices. The methodology of structured multiscale process design offers a unique opportunity for challenging interdisciplinary theoretical and experimental research in a European context, capable of leading to significant improvement in industrial competitiveness in the process industries.
