摘要
Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques are introduced to maximize the output of solar photovoltaic under varying atmospheric conditions. The power-voltage (P-V) characteristics consist of multiple power peaks under partial shading conditions (PSC). Conventional MPPT techniques are unable to track global power under PSC. However, these techniques track effectively under uniform irradiance. Jaya algorithm used to track global power, but it is observed that power oscillations are found around GMPP and requires more time for the convergence. This paper proposes the Modified Jaya (MJaya) algorithm, which tracks global power with fast convergence. The proposed algorithm has good efficiency with reduced power oscillations. MJaya algorithm is capable of balancing both exploration and exploitation. The proposed MJaya algorithm overcomes the disadvantages of the conventional Jaya algorithm. The MJaya algorithm is compared with the Crow Search algorithm, PSO, and Jaya via MATLAB simulation to validate the performance. MJaya algorithm shows better performance by tracking MPPT in less interval of time under PSC.
