Synthesis of some biologically active pyrimidine and isoxazole derivatives

摘要
4-(2,5-Dichloro-3-thienyl)-6-substitutedphenylpyrimidine-2(1H)-thione (2a-j), 3-(2,5-dichloro-3-thieny1)-5-substitutedpheny1-4,5-dihydroisoxazole (3a-j) have been synthesized by the reaction of (2E)-1-(2,5-dichloro-3-thienyl)-3-substitutedphenylprop-2-en-1-one (1) with thiourea and hydoxylamine hydrochloride respectively. These compounds have been screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities against different microorganisms. The structures of novel synthesized compounds have been established on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and mass spectral data.
