摘要
The involvement of civil engineers in US politics is discussed. Input from civil engineers can help to develop good ideas into new projects, and their technical advice can make a difference in obtaining funding approval. Engineers use their skills to design, construct, and operate entities that have a direct hearing on the public's quality of life. The success of America's infrastructue, defense, and international relation requires that civil engineers and politicians work together to best serve the public.
