Dynamic quality-of-service guarantee in wireless mobile communications using feedback closed-loop scheduling discipline

摘要
To provide high Quality-of-Service (QoS) services in wireless mobile communications, a problem-solving mechanism based on closed-loop scheduling discipline was proposed herein. In the closed-loop schedule, the feedback mechanism is to support the wireless mobile communications services with dynamic QoS requirements. Cascading the open-loop schedule, QoS probe, Proportional-Integral-Derivative Controller and feedback mechanism, a closed-loop architecture was developed. In this architecture, the relationship of Input and Output is defined using a Lagrange lambda -calculus module. The module estimates the future QoS through the current scheduling and the parameters in the controller are tuned according to the system status, so that the dynamic scheduling is achieved. The QoS probe data is synchronously passed back to the open-loop schedule with an agent. Simulation results were shown that the performance in terms of service delay, system utilization from the closed-loop schedule had better than that of existing schedule disciplines.
