摘要：

Leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava (IVC) is a rare neoplasm that, because of its anatomical location, often has an insidious onset with non-specific abdominal symptoms and a dismal prognosis. No consensus guidelines exist for its management. The only curative option involves radical resection with or without vascular reconstruction and adjuvant therapy.
