摘要
Employee Engagement has become a topic of deliberation these days. For many years, researchers and companies alike have been studying employee engagement and the factors that act as drivers and inhibitors to employees' engagement levels across various demographics. There is no single universally accepted definition for employee engagement. The very first appearance of this term occurs in 1990 in Kahn's work, and since then, numerous researchers have tried to decipher employee engagement. Organizations have realized the strategic value of keeping their employees "engaged". Engaged employees have higher productivity and foster a positive corporate culture, leading to a sustainable competitive advantage for the organizations. Surveys conducted by various research organizations show that there may be a strong link between employee engagement and employee productivity. Multiple drivers of employee engagement have been identified, which differ across age and genders, indicating that organizations cannot depend on a tailor-made approach to cater to all the employees. This study was conducted on Indian working professionals to comprehend the influence of various factors on employee engagement and employee productivity. The results have been analyzed for multiple demographic groups.
