CLINICAL VALUE OF CYTOKINES COMBINED WITH THE BISAP SCORING SYSTEM IN EARLY PREDICTION OF ACUTE PANCREATITIS SEVERITY

Acute pancreatitis, a common disease, has recently shown increasing incidence. The overall mortality rate of acute pancreatitis is about 5%-10%, but if acute pancreatitis continues to deteriorate, severity of the condition will rise. Therefore, early prediction of severity of the disease is necessary. To fully demonstrate the value of cytokines combined with the BISAP scoring system for early prediction of acute pancreatitis severity, BISAP scoring, traditional Ranson scoring and CT scoring were carried out for 2380 patients with acute pancreatitis admitted in January 2012 to October 2015. Receiver operating curve (ROC) was adopted for accuracy analysis of the three scoring systems. The results show that ROC curve area of BISAP scoring for severity of acute pancreatitis, concurrent symptoms, organ failure and death, etc. enjoys the highest similarity with the actual situation. This fully proves the high clinical value of the BISAP scoring system in early prediction of acute pancreatitis severity, which can provide scientific treatment evidence for medical personnel and improve treatment efficiency.
