Calcination-free synthesis of high strength self-cleaning anti-reflective MgF2-TiO2 coating

摘要
The mixed sols of TiO2 with different crystallinity and hollow rod-like MgF2 were here prepared using the solvothermal method. The anti-reflective coatings were prepared by the immersion pulling method. The coating does not require calcination treatment and the average light transmittance reaches 98.3% in the visible range of 400-800 nm. At the same time, the coating exhibits excellent self-cleaning properties (photocatalysis, super-hydrophilic, and anti-fog) and mechanical properties (hardness, substrate adhesion, and scratch resistance). The coatings have the advantage of durability in harsh environments, and they also take easily to heat-labile polymer optical materials such as resins. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
