Mesoporous Mn-Se/Al2O3: A recyclable and reusable catalyst for selective oxidation of alcohols

摘要
Mesoporous Mn-Se/Al2O3 could be easily fabricated by calcining the selenium sources with the manganese and aluminum hydroxides. It was an efficient catalyst for alcohol oxidation using H2O2 as the clean oxidant, affording carbonyls in 58%-83% yields. The reaction of primary alcohols could produce aldehydes specifically, while no carboxylic acids were generated. The easily accessible features and low cost of Mn-Se/Al2O3 may endow the material great potential in the industrial-scale applications.
