UWB time-varying channel estimation and track in complicated environment based on turbo and adaptation

摘要
It is important that how to estimate channels in an UWB communication system, since it can influence directly the receiver performance. In this paper, as a byproduct of channel decoding, some iterative template estimation algorithms based on TURBO principle/TURBO and adaptation (T/A) are proposed for indoor UWB dense multipath channel. The schemes fully utilize the prior information that is included in the soft-output of channel decoding to estimate local receiving template directly instead of estimating channel parameters and furthermore, introduce adaptation to reduce estimative error. The simulation results show that the methods can rebuild receiving template and track time variance of the channel. Compared with the method of estimating channel impulse responses formerly, and reconstructing the template signal posteriorly, the proposed novel process is greatly simplified.
