摘要
The injection molding technique is the widely used technique for the production of plastic materials. Numerous category of polymers are susceptible as base resin for injection molding process. But most of the plastic content used is non-biodegradable, which is causing the accumulation of plastic wastes all over the world. Using plastic which are biodegradable could be a solution for this problem. Various bio degradable polymers having variant properties are available to user till date. Selecting one from the list that can be incorporated for injection molding technique becomes significantly challenging. In the present research, decision model like MOORA-Multi Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis (ranking method based on ration analysis) technique is used for the selection of biopolymer (from the listed 9 biopolymers) to be incorporated as charge material for injection molding process on the basis of certain enlisted properties. The result obtained through Multi Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis method concludes that Poly Glycolic Acid (PGA) can be used as base resin in the production of injection molded product.
