The intensification of ornamental and vegetable crops production and extensive movement of contaminated plant material resulted in the occurrence of economically imported virus diseases. Two tospoviruses, tomato spotted wilt (TSWV) and impatiens necrotic spot (INSV), two tobamoviruses, cucumber green mottle mosaic (CGMMV) and an isolate of tobacco mosaic (TMV) as well as cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), were reported in several greenhouse crops. The viruses were identified on the bases of biological properties, serological reaction with antisera and electron microscopy examination.
