摘要：

In the title compound, C18H17ClO2S, the 3-chlorophenyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 72.62 (4)degrees with the mean plane of the benzofuran fragment. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions. The crystal structure also exhibits a slipped pi-pi interaction between the 3-chlorophenyl rings of adjacent molecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.751 (2) angstrom, interplanar distance = 3.450 (2) angstrom and slippage = 1.472 (2) angstrom].
