摘要
The relation between Peirce's semiotics and cognition is due to the logical aspect of semiosis that approximates the concept of mind in Peirce. This aspect is expressed in the sign concept that indicates a triadic logic in which a sign determines another, creating a logical chain. Such a notion of sign works as a model for describing the mind. However, the logical aspect of semiotics expressed initially in the triadic notion of sign expands itself in the systems of classes of signs (of 10, 28 and 66 classes). Our proposal is that we can achieve more detailed models of mind by investigating the systems of sign classes and that they would help us to better understand Peirce's notion of mind.
