IMPACT OF ERYTHROCYTE AGGREGATION FOR THE INTENSITY OF INTRAVASCULAR HEMOLYSIS IN CARDIOPULMONARY BYPASS SURGERY

摘要
Erythrocyte aggregation was studied in cardiologic patients with moderate (n = 34) and pronounced (n = 16) hemolysis after shunting operations under conditions of artificial circulation. Plasma concentrations of free hemoglobin and fibrinogen, erythrocyte aggregation and morphology, and levels of TBA-active products in them were studied before and after the operation. In contrast to moderate hemolysis, the development of pronounced hemolysis was associated with erythrocyte hyperaggregation, combined with high fibrinogen content and high levels of cells with nonechinocytic transformation in the blood before the operation and with increase of echinocyte counts and of lipid peroxidation activity in erythrocytes after it.
