New requirements for transition region to low corona observations with FUV-EUV spectrometers derived from SOHO experience

摘要
SOHO FUV-EUV spectrometers are providing an improved understanding of the solar transition region to low corona phenomena. A first analysis of the data obtained shows the observational limitations of the instruments and some related open questions that carl not be answered by the SOHO data. In order to overcome these limitations, to fill new scientific objectives and to provide a reasonable jump in the data quality, we propose new requirements including: angular, spectral and time resolution.
