摘要：

In this paper we introduce the concept of a Web-based medical database called the IMDA (Internet Medical Assistance). IMDA is meant to assistance physician iii diagnosis of disease, and in designing a specific treatment strategy. IMDA is also meant to serve as an educational tool in Medicine for the general public. The general public carl use IMDA to learn more about a specific disease its symptoms, and specific case studies of the disease. IMDA is designed to be a distributed system in terms of its various databases and its intelligent decision-making engines. IMDA is meant help improve the health care system and reduce the cost of medical care.
