摘要
The forms of online participation of young people are a manifestation of the competence of digital citizenship that needs to be valued. The purpose of this study was to identify the forms of online participation carried out by Mexican, Colombian and Peruvian university students. This is a quantitative study through the application of a survey consisting of 13 items organized in 3 dimensions to identify their incidence of participation: University digital communities, Collaboration on platforms and websites, online publication and activism. The sample consisted of 2810 university students (1713 Mexicans, 651 Colombians and 446 Peruvians). of which 43.6% were men and 56.4% women. data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. for each dimension is presented the global results of the items that are associated with the dimension, the statistical description of the data from Mexico, Colombia and Peru, the results of statistical tests such as medians between groups, ANOVA and Tukey to detect differences and similarities in the values of mean of the data groups of the three countries. The results indicate that there are differences in the perceptions of university students towards the forms of online participation they exercise when they are connected to the Internet. Emphasis is also placed on possible trends in the forms of participation, as well as similarities in groups of countries were identified.
